Description: Under the Influence and Out of Control refresher training – How to verbally intervene with an impaired individual. Individuals who are under the influence of alcohol or other drugs can be more dangerous than sober individuals, and their behavior is often frightening and unpredictable. This program demonstrates effective verbal intervention strategies for dealing with individuals who are under the influence and verbally or physically out of control. In addition, Key Points of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention will be reviewed with purpose to provide for the care, welfare, safety and security of students and staff in school.

Description: ASD:Applications of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Refresher training program is designed to assist staff in learning how to support individuals with autism spectrum disorders or related communication disabilities. Training will include extensive information on positive behavior support, functional behavior assessment, self-injurious behaviors and select TEACCH concepts. In addition, Key Points of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention will be reviewed with purpose to provide for the care, welfare, safety and security of students and staff in school.

Description: This Refresher contains program fundamentals that focus on verbal intervention skills and introduce Life Space Crisis Intervention strategies for reaching and reclaiming individuals in conflict. The content will enhance staff’s communication skills sets, including nonverbal communication, verbal interaction, de-escalation strategies, debriefing strategies, assessment of diagnostic cues, and relationship building. In addition, Key Points of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention will be reviewed with purpose to provide for the care, welfare, safety and security of students and staff in school.
